Government Contracts Administrator
VP, Government Contracts
Steve serves as the VP of Government Accounts. Steve served in the Marine Corps as an operator in a radio reconnaissance platoon from 2003-2007 and conducted combat operations in Iraq from 2004-2007. After his service, Steve credits the VA with getting him the care and treatment for the injuries he sustained while in combat in Iraq. After breaking into the medical device industry as a sales rep for spine implants, Steve realized that there were some shortfalls in the VA healthcare system when it came to surgeons getting the implants they needed to give the veteran patients the best outcomes. Most of this came from a lack of understanding on the manufacturers part on the federal acquisition process. Steve and his wife Katy started their own distributorship, Recon Supply, in 2015 bridging the gap between manufacturers and the VA and DoD. As a veteran, Steve had a deep desire to be a part team that embodied the same ethos and core values of making VA and DoD healthcare more efficient and effective while being able to provide employment opportunities to other disabled veterans. In 2020, Recon Supply began the process of combining our operations with Apiary Medical and could not be more excited to be a part of the Apiary family. Steve received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Missouri-St. Louis as well as a master’s in communications from Lindenwood University.
